But I will hold on hope
and I won't let you choke
I'm more popularly known as Professor X, but to close friends and family I am Charlotte Xavier. I'm twenty-four-years-old and come from the lovely Xavier kin. My father was a worldwide reknown scientist before he was tragically killed in an accident when I was a child.

ou won't realize it first, but I'm a mutant, and my mutation makes me capable of accessing and manipulating the minds of other human beings. I intend to establish peaceful cohabitation with my abilities and my team whom is charmingly addressed as X-Men. Together, we stand and together we will most definitely fall.

I also am headmaster of a school for mutants called Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. We take in mutants of all ages to learn how to harness their abilities or anything else needed. Our doors are open to anyone, so you're welcome anytime, no matter if you are a human, a mutant, or a superhuman.

Dear god. Why did I ever let Charlotte talk me into going to that event, let alone touching the alcohol.

Hangover, my dear?

You sound far too happy. How are you able to do this regularly? Don’t telepaths get hung over?

Your presence is just the highlight of my day.

[Smiles.] I come from a kin riddled with alcoholism. I have a very high tolerance for it. Are you in need of an aspirin and something to drink?

I refuse to follow in my mother’s footsteps, but a glass of Guinness sounds lovely.

A Visit to the Institute - (Charlotte/Bryce)

“1407 Graymalkin Lane. Salem Center, New York” The Batman said aloud into the Batwing’s GPS. The coordinates popped up and the engines roared to life. The moon shined bright in the clear night sky. She slowed the plane as she neared her destination waiting for clearance to land. She was granted it by an unknown voice and landed on one of the helipads in the backyard.

She quickly exited the vehicle and headed for the door. She couldn’t help but be reminded  of Wayne Manor, although this place was a tad larger. As she reached the door she looked up she read the words aloud. “Mutatis Mutandis” Necessary Changes, she laughed at the irony of it all. Batman opened the doors and was greeted by the one and only. “Professor,” she nodded, holding out her hand.

“Bryce,” Charlotte returned softly, unsurprised by the sudden visit, as she could feel the mind of Batman from a mile away. She backed away from the front door to allow the taller woman inside.

“You’re welcome inside. But please, keep it down, the children are sleeping.”

Fully dressed in a cardigan and trousers, she made her way to the kitchen table to allow the costumed woman to sit. She’d allow Bryce to say her meanings of coming there aloud rather than saying what she picked up from her thoughts.

“Of course.” Bryce said walking inside. “Do you know why I’m here?” she asked rhetorically. Bryce knew Xavier would’ve already said something if she’d listened in. She still wasn’t comfortable with the idea of someone in her head, but new Charlotte wouldn’t do it maliciously. “I need to ask you for a favor. Although I announced it at the party the other night, I haven’t officially announced my running for presidency yet. I haven’t done it yet, because I need a running mate. That’s why I’m here…” She looked at Charlotte, waiting for a response…

“You mean as in a candidate for your vice president?” Charlotte questioned, inquisitively quirking a brow. This was a huge responsibility to take on, and she was more than flattered that Bryce would offer such things to her.

“I’d be honored, if you’re asking what I think you’re asking. But, are you entirely sure?”

“Yes, thats what I mean. Am I entirely sure, no. If you remember the party, Stark threw her name into the pool. I’m afraid her ego would be to big, and the drinking would cause problems.” Bryce rolls her eyes thinking back to the party.

“You are my first choice. Reading up on your ‘past’ I’m surprised you didn’t think of running for some position before. You’d be perfect, not to mention you’re ability would come in handy. There is one thing I am worried about though… Erika.”

“I had Genosha… I think that’s all I was worried about,” Charlotte admitted. “I’ll accept, Bryce…. and Magneto would cause a… problem, to say the very least. She’ll always be trying to dominate the world with her mutant superiority causes. But, I assure you, I will do my very best to stop her. I always have, even in my ‘past’.”

Bloody hangovers.

I was once a wise old man, but now I’m drinking myself into a stupor on a nearly nightly basis. I need to change quite a few things.

*Studies her with a faint smile*

Do you still promise not to cheat? *It’s rather a loaded question, applying to more than just chess.*

Cheat? Of course not, my dear.

Let me go find the game.

[She leaves to get the game and its jar of pieces, and returns with both in hand five minutes later.]

*Looks a little surprised, then faintly exasperated. Only Charlotte could show this level of concern for the opposing party.*

Everyone’s fine. There were some injuries, but the place was practically empty at the time. Of course, reconstructing it will be hell.

As long as you’re alright.

[Sighs in relief before sipping at her tea, then flushes faintly in embarrassment upon realizing what she had just done.]

I don’t suppose you still have a penchant for chess?
